Residents across Stafford Borough who are struggling to heat their homes may be eligible for support from the Council's Warmer Homes Stafford scheme. A range of funding offers and grants are currently available.
Emergency Central Heating Offer Funding
Funding is available to support low-income households who find themselves without heating due to a broken gas-fired heating system. Available to owner occupiers. If eligible, heating replacements are 100% funded. Available until 31 March 2019.
Grants are available for loft insulation and cavity wall insulation for owner occupiers and private tenants / landlords. Households qualify if on means-tested or disability / health-related benefits or if on a low income. Most works will be fully funded.
Warmer Homes Stafford can undertake home visits for residents across the Borough. Trained energy advisors can offer face-to-face advice on a range of topics, including energy tariffs, bill discounts, heating, insulation and more. Available until 31 March 2019.
Stafford Borough Council Fuel Poverty Grants
Resource is available for Warmer Homes Stafford to offer advice and support sessions within the community. If you know of an existing group or regular gathering who may benefit from a face-to-face advice session – please get in touch.
Limited grants are available to help vulnerable households who are struggling at home due to inadequate heating. These can be used to support boiler replacements (where broken) and first time central heating installs. Eligibility criteria varies, so residents in need of help are encouraged to contact Warmer Homes Stafford for further information.
