Alison and Francis, from Weeping Cross, Stafford, had 150mm mineral wool loft insulation in their loft, which is also partly boarded. Francis laid approximately 100mm warmcel insulation, made from recycled paper on top of this, and carpeted the boarded area using carpets donated from Freecycle to help keep the heat in the bedrooms below. Items are stored in the loft on shelves and on the boarded area.
