Washing clothes - save loads

Always try to put a full load of washing into your washing machine, and wash at a lower temperature. By taking these steps you can get every third wash for free.

Detergents now work very well at 30 degrees. Use half load or economy programmes if you must wash small loads.

Try not to use a tumble dryer - instead dry your clothes outside or on an indoor airer. Not using a tumble dryer in summer saves about £35 a year.
